If you’re planning a large construction, demolition, or residential clean-out project, chances are you’ll need a way to dispose of waste to avoid build up around the worksite. By renting a roll off dumpster to be dropped off when and where you need it and picked up when it’s full and the project is complete, you will eliminate the hassle of multiple trips to a waste disposal center and spend time working on what matters most. While we aim to keep this process as simple and hassle-free as possible, we understand that questions do come up and we’re always here to help.
Common Dumpster Rental Questions
As with any rental service, you want all the correct information before you initiate the project and get rolling. That’s why we put all our FAQs in one handy location. We’re all about convenient waste disposal, and we believe the dumpster rental process should be convenient from start to finish, too. Here are some common questions we get asked from time to time, but don’t hesitate to give us a call and ask us a question yourself.
What is a roll off dumpster?
A temporary, heavy-duty trash container that is used for short-term, clean-up projects is often referred to as a roll off dumpster. This type of dumpster is different than the dumpster you’ve seen behind your everyday restaurant for two reasons. First, a roll off dumpster is temporary and usually used for a project such as remodeling a house, renovating an apartment building, or a construction project that will result in large amounts of trash and debris that needs to be properly disposed of. Secondly, much like its name implies, this type of dumpster is made to be mobile and dropped off by trucks. In fact, they are literally rolled off the back of our truck when we personally deliver your dumpster to you.
Who can rent a roll off dumpster?
Everyone from contractors and construction companies to weekend warriors or homeowners making a move from one neighborhood to one across town can rent a dumpster. No special licensing or permits required. We only ask that you dispose of waste responsibly by only disposing of non-hazardous landfill waste. Please see our FAQ on “What kind of waste can I throw away?” below for more details!
How soon can I get my dumpster rental?
As soon as you give us a call to schedule a drop-off time for your roll off dumpster, we will check the current availability of our 20, 30, and 40 cubic yard dumpsters available for rental. We then work with you to schedule a drop-off time that meets your project needs. All that’s left to do from that point is load up the dumpster with waste and call us for pick-up once it’s full.
How do I determine what size roll off dumpster is best for my project?
Roll off dumpsters are sized based on how much waste they hold. An important thing to note is that a cubic yard of cardboard will weigh significantly less than a cubic yard of solid wood. The measurement of a cubic yard is 3 feet wide x 3 feet long x 3 feet wide. If you need help determining what size roll off rental will suit your needs best, please give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.
